Board of Director Meeting Minutes
October 19, 2006

Absent: Jennifer Farros, Mike Forman, Kym Lee-Young

Joint Dinner—November 2
Gerry has sent updates for the website to Karina (webmaster). Steve will send email to all members using email as shown on ISM database. Any email changes discovered during calls to membership should be updated on the database.

Phone Calls to Membership
Steve has talked to 5 on his list. Gerry has talked to 7 on her list. Gerry is emailing those she cannot reach live, including info on the Nov. 2 meeting, contact information updates, and the questions. Gerry has sent updates on the spreadsheet to Jennifer.

Communications
Tabled until November Board meeting.

Software Licensing Class
We want to hold this in January. Details are undecided. If during the week, GGU is available. If on weekend, we need to find another site. Possibilities include Embassy Suites by Pleasant Hill BART, Marriott in Walnut Creek near Walnut Creek BART, Pleasanton Hilton, asking a member company. Mike may have some insight due to previous classes. Jennifer was getting an insurance quote and Gerry is following up while Jennifer is on vacation.

Membership
We now have 67 members.

Satellite Seminars
Gerry contacted DVC. They are still having insect infestation problems with their satellite equipment. In order to use them, we need to be sponsored. This previously was accomplished through Rick Reece and Stu Williams. Gerry contacted AT&T and will follow-up. GGU has no satellite. Investigations into other satellite facilities continues. The next broadcast is in February, 2007.
