Board of Director Meeting Minutes
November 9, 2006

Minutes
Minutes from the September 21 and the October 19 Board meetings were approved and signed off. [They were subsequently posted on our website.]

Treasurer’s Report
JENNIFER presented the Treasurer’s report for the Board’s review.

Communications
The following decisions were made: GERRY will contact Terry Hess and find out which of our members attended the November 2 joint dinner meeting. EACH BOARD MEMBER will continue to monitor our portion of the membership list; we will make updates online and periodically check to see that the updates have been made; we will ensure that STEVE has the correct email address for each member in our group. We will continue with postcards and other communications to keep our membership informed.

Membership Report
KYM reported that we now have 68 members.

Results of Phone Calls to Membership
JENNIFER will send out a reminder as she did not receive input from Kym, Steve or Mike. [There may have been an email issue.] JENNIFER will combine all the inputs and prepare a complete report and email to the Board. This will be discussed at the next meeting.

Satellite Seminar
GERRY is still searching for a location. EACH BOARD MEMBER should be asking our portion of the membership if any of the companies have satellite facilities that we can use. Also, GERRY will contact Cal State East Bay (Concord) to see if they have facilities we can use.

January Seminar
STEVE reported on his discussion with Embassy Suites by Pleasant Hill BART. The Board agreed with going ahead with the Software Seminar at this location. We are looking at January 18 or another date during that week or the following week. We will provide a hot lunch. Further discussion will be via email as details become known.

Holiday Events
NAPM-NC is hosting a networking get-together in San Francisco on Tuesday, December 5. We want to publicize this to our members. Our Board will have a dinner on December 7 or 14, depending on Mike’s schedule. STEVE will email details.

Document Review and Approval
There were minor corrections to the Bylaws. The other documents (Vision/Mission; Job Descriptions; Expense Guidelines) were approved.

Resumes
There is a webpage on our site titled resumes; however, resumes are not posted. This page needs to be revised. STEVE will check with ISM on how they handle resumes.

Book
STEVE received a copy of a book authored by John Semanik and his co-author. It will be available to check out.
