Board of Director Meeting Minutes
April 12, 2006

Attendees: Steve Hackett, Gerry Bryant, Jennifer Farros, Barbara Stelter, Debra Grieg

Minutes
Minutes from the March meeting were approved and signed off.

Board Membership
Steve appointed Debra Grieg as Director at Large position. The Board approved. Debra will focus on event planning.

Website Discussion
We need someone to help provide support for the website. Discussion around asking our membership if there is someone who can do this. Want to add links for agencies with jobs. GERRY will cover these changes with the webmaster.

Satellite Seminar
GERRY stated that there have been some issues with the satellite at the Concord site of East Bay (Cal State Hayward). It looks like we won’t be able to do this one, but will still pursue the one in June. GERRY will send the broadcast parameters to BARBARA so she can check with the other learning center site.

May Seminar
After discussion, we decided that an all day seminar is preferable. We would like the topics to be RFx and Spend Analysis. The date is Thursday, May 24. DEBRA volunteered to work on additional planning for the event. GERRY will contact presenter and discuss how to organize the day.

Treasurer’s Report
JENNIFER presented the Treasurer’s report. She has been comparing the money we receive to the membership. It looks like we have not yet received the dues for 13 members.

Supplier Knowledge
GERRY will contact John Semanik on how new members are introduced to SK. GERRY will also contact the webmaster to provide a link to SK and a short blurb on how to access via ISM# after receiving info from John.

Election Planning
STEVE sent out the message that nominations are open with a requested reply of April 6. He had received no responses. Discussion around whether everyone received. If not, he will re-send. (Subsequent to the meeting, it was discovered that all the emails had gone out OK.)

Membership
We now have 80 members.

Next Board Meeting
Our next meeting is scheduled for May 10.
