Board of Director Meeting Minutes
June 14, 2007

Minutes from the May meeting were approved.

Treasurer’s Report
We’re on budget. Current report does not include the May 24 seminar.

Website Discussion
Steve will check into an organization that helps non-profits with computers, etc. He’ll see if we qualify for help. Also, there is website software. We will continue discussion on this item.

Seminars
May 24 (RFx and Spend Analysis): Very successful. Excellent reviews from participants. They want more seminars and suggested topics. We would have liked more participants. Discussed doing earlier publicity and scheduling to reduce conflicting seminars from other groups. June 7 (Satellite Seminar): Successful. This site looks good. There were a few glitches that we have already discussed how to handle to avoid for next time. Would have liked more participants. Will do early publicity, including on our website. Seminars are a good value for our members. We will continue developing for next year and publicize early.

Leadership Development Training (Las Vegas)
This is scheduled for July 6-7. We’ve missed the June 1 deadline. Bad timing for us. Will explore the other venues and email to see if we can go.

Corporation Form from State of California
Every 2 years, we must register. Steve will check with the State. The State may have to approve our change in Bylaws made last year.

Supplier Knowledge
Debra will forward her ISM number to Gerry. Gerry will add her to the list. Debraa will see what she gets from Supplier Knowledge to help evaluate value. Each of us will access Supplier Knowledge and evaluate value. Will then discuss next steps.

Topics for Next Year
Regular Seminars: Debra has contact that may be able to present a seminar on LEAN / 6 Sigma for procurement. Also, we have other topics from feedback from our calling campaign and the other seminars we hosted this year.
Satellite Seminars: Gerry will provide the dates and topics for the Satellite Seminars for the upcoming 2007-2008 year.

Next Meeting
This was our last Board meeting of the 2006-2007 year. We’ve scheduled a business plan meeting for Friday, August 10, to make our plans for the 2007-2008 year.
