MINUTES
NAPM—Diablo Valley
September 16,  2008
6:45 pm – 8:45 pm

 

Attendees:  Jennifer Farros, Steve Hackett, Debra Grieg, Gerry Bryant, Carla Peyton

Minutes
May minutes approved.  August minutes will be revised.

Treasurer’s Report
Steve presented last fiscal year actual and this year’s proposed budget.  We made some revisions to budget for 2008=2009.

Membership
Our membership is down and this could be due to members not yet renewing and being dropped by ISM. Carla has taken over the distribution list. She will provide a list of those who have not renewed and assign to each Board member to contact.

Calendar of Events
We reviewed the calendar of events.  This will be distributed to members and posted to website.

Organizational Binder
We reviewed the initial draft of the organizational binder put together by Jennifer. This binder will be maintained by Gerry.
 
Welcome email
Jennifer will create and send via email to the Board. We will review and comment back to her. She will distribute using Carla’s list.

Web Site
Steve will post the welcome letter and vision and mission statements to the web site.

Events
Debra checked into evite but feels it is too cumbersome for our uses.
October 16- Satellite Seminar- Lean Concepts
Gerry reported that things are a go. Terry Hess has agreed to take the reservations. We need to get the insurance to them. Gerry will create the flyer for distribution. Carla will bring collateral to next Board meeting so that we can have it to give to people at the event. At next Board meeting we will determine if we want to send out a reminder, depending on the number of sign-ups.

November 13-Dinner/Speaker at Pyramid Ale House
Gerry will contact Brian Isikoff for speaker. Debra will reservations at the restaurant.

January 22-Dinner/Speaker
Debra to contact speaker on MRO. Carla to contact company that helps people looking for jobs to see if they are interested in speaking.

March 4-Supplier Event
Several Board members talked to suppliers about this idea and feel it is a go. Discussed ideas around the evening. Steve to contact Crown Plaza in Concord as site.

Next Meeting
Our next meeting will be on Tuesday, October 7, 2008.
