Here we are another year, another beginning… another year of getting my e-mails.
This fiscal year, I would like to share our restated Vision with you. It exemplifies the value that our affiliate provides our membership.
“The vision of NAPM – Diablo Valley, Inc. is to be a leading organization of supply management professionals providing local networking, educational and growth opportunities to our members.”
The key word is LOCAL. We should all know the benefits of belonging to a world wide organization that is ISM. If you don’t, log into www.ism.ws and prepare to be impressed.
Our focus is to bring meaningful LOCAL events to our membership. We can only do this with your feedback and participation. We have cut down the number of activities to be sensitive to all of our time constraints. We will continue with the Satellite Seminars, which are gaining popularity (even at 7 AM). Did you know other affiliates actually charge for this event? We provide it at no cost to you, except for parking and bringing your own coffee.
We have a few dinner events planned and hope to see all of you at least at one. We all have questions that we would like to ask our peer group…don’t miss out on the opportunity to network with LOCAL supply chain professionals. Aren’t you curious as to how difficult the CPSM exam is? What about that Enterprise Agreement you are currently negotiating? Want to bounce ideas with someone in another LOCAL business?
We will have only one all day seminar this year, currently scheduled in May. We have not yet determined a subject. This is your opportunity to let us know what your topics of interest are. Don’t miss out! Attend the events and tell us what you think!
